Aim

Record, preserve and add to the substanital current Local History Collection for future generations to access.

Endeavour to satisfy inquiries from persons researching family history.

Save and preserve buildings and artifacts of historical significance.

Activities

Currently restoring three old Railway buildings in Railway Reserve, Murray Bridge, namely Murray Controk, Railway Institute and Signalman's Cottage besides continuing to add to our database and ongoing sorting of many historical documents and photographs.

Local History Archives open most Tuesdays - ex Train Control Building, Railway Reserve, Murray Bridge

New members welcome to come and help preserve the valuable history of Murray Bridge and districts.

Membership costs $15 single or $20 Double (Family of two).

Publication by the Murray Bridge and District Historical Society Inc "Regarding Railways in Murray Bridge South AUstralia 1873-2010" is available at a cost of $30 plus postage and handling of $4.50.
